PTA
As a parent you will be warmly welcomed to join the very active
Parent Teacher Association that is an integral part of the school.
The PTA supports the school with fund raising , social events and by
providing valuable helpers on days such as Sports Day, trips out,
visits to the theatre, children’s discos.
Staff in the school acknowledge the benefits from providing a wide range of extra curricular experiences for the children and it is with the financial and
practical help of the PTA that trips out of school and special events
form an important part of Glan Gele school life. Parents wishing to
lend a hand and help in class are made very welcome in the school.
School values your contribution. There are occasions when parents
are asked for a small contribution towards the cost of an extra
curricular visits. However the PTA fundraises to subsidise events to
keep costs to parents at a minimum. If you are ever worried about the cost of a visit please do not hesitate to speak to the Head teacher in confidence.
We have a standing group of parents who work with the Head teacher and act as a ‘sounding board’. They meet about once every half term and share ideas and concerns. A list of parents on the Forum is displayed on the notice boards outside the classrooms
