On behalf of all the Staff and Governors, I would like to welcome you to the Ysgol Glan Gele website
Ysgol Glan Gele is a Nursery and Infant school which serves the market town of Abergele. We provide education for children at the beginning of their school lives from the ages of 3 to 7. We believe that this is one of the most important phases in their learning journey and at the centre of their future development. It is a time when we need to nurture in them a lifelong love of learning . We pride ourselves on making the first steps on this journey an enjoyable and exciting one that is characterised by high standards.

Our school is situated on Ffordd Y Morfa on the same campus as our feeder Junior school St Elfod.
At Ysgol Glan Gele we work very hard to make our school a creative ,happy place for your child to flourish and grow. We aim to deliver experiential learning that develops all their skills and equips them for life in the twenty first century and the next stage in their education. The school is known within Abergele for its warm and friendly family atmosphere where children feel valued and secure. Our school motto is
‘Happy and secure as we all learn together’
We treat all our children as individuals and hope that through praise and encouragement, and a wide range of extra curricular activities, they will achieve their true potential. We provide additional support for pupils who are more and less able. We are an inclusive school and work with other local schools and agencies to ensure the highest standard of provision for all our pupils. Your child’s talents and achievements are as important to us as they are to you and are celebrated by the whole school community at every opportunity, in class or during Golden Assembly.
We recognise, the partnership between home and school is a vital one and we appreciate parents, carers and the community in Abergele working together with us. We endeavour to support our pupils to grow into valuable citizens of the Abergele.
We welcome any expertise or assistance you maybe able to offer us in delivering the best possible opportunities for our pupils
If you would like to come and join us by helping out in classes or supporting the PTA (Friends of Glan Gele Infants - FOGGI) in their fund raising events we would be only too pleased to see you. Please telephone the school for more information. We also provide a Breakfast and After School Club which you may like to use.
