Feedback & Responses
We are currently looking at the responses from our most recent survey and are discussing the points raised. Replies to comments will be posted here as soon as we have the answers for you.
The following comments have been made by parents in the last questionnaire given out to parents. We wish to address some of the comments where we feel we can and we will strive towards bettering our school.
Comment: A Year 2 photograph with the headteacher.
Response: As a school we think this is a wonderful idea and hopefully starting this year we will aim to achieve this.
Comment: More road safety.
Response: As a school we have a systematic programme in place called Kerbcraft. Kerbcraft teaches children aged from 5-7 how to be safer pedestrians by taking them onto real roads and showing them how the right decision-making and behaviour can really help them to keep safe. The children are taken out of school by trained volunteers, in groups of no more than three, to learn three main skills:
- Choosing Safe Places and Routes to Cross the Road
- Crossing Safely at Parked Cars
- Crossing Safely Near Junctions
Comment: Challenging pupils where teachers see the potential (e.g homework activity)
Response: To challenge our pupils that we consider More Able and Talented (MAT) we use the NACE framework throughout all lessons. This framework is recognised and used by over 10,000 schools. We recently in school were awarded our reaccreditation of the NACE Challenge Award that means that as a school we are following the scheme and that we are as a school providing challenges to our MAT pupils.
