Fairtrade

Ysgol Glan Gele is a Fairtrade school.  The Fairtrade committee promote Fairtrade in our school and to the wider community through the different events we hold.

We organise tuck shops and cafes.  The children have attended community coffee mornings to talk about Fairtrade and have even been shopping to buy Fairtrade in the local supermarket.

We always participate in Fairtrade Fortnight and in our lessons we learn about Fairtrade. The committee meets regularly to think of new ways to encourage people to buy Fairtrade.

During Fairtrade Fortnight 2014, we went to Tesco to support the Abergele Fairtrade Committee in their campaign. We enjoyed going around the supermarket looking for Fairtrade products.
